Artist: Gungor Album: Ghost Upon The Earth
Let church bells ring
Let children sing
Even if they don’t know why let them sing
Why drown their joy
Stifle their voice
Just because you’ve lost yours
May our jaded hearts be healed
Amen
Let old men dance
Lift up their hands
Even if they are naïve, let them dance
You’ve seen it all
You watch them fall
Wash off your face and dance
May our weary hearts be filled with hope
Amen
"This song is a call to repentance, a call to wake up. It’s an invitation to join the poor and the sinner and the broken once again that we may come alive and join with God again." -Gungor Commentary
My favorite part of this song is “Let church bells ring Let children sing Even if they don’t know why let them sing” I can just picture a small church on a typical Baja California day. There is a huge tower on the small church and bells at the top ringing.Below the tower are kids lifting their voices with laughter and singing songs to glorify our GOD. They may not know why they are singing but they do it anyway because they know it pleases him.
Psalm 100
A Psalm. For giving grateful praise.
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
